It was 1979 when David moved to Hilton Head Island as a young businessman to assist in opening the original Chart House Restaurant at Palmetto Bay Marina. He’s seen our lovely island develop responsibly and beautifully for 4 decades. He worked hard to acquire business and communication skills in the hospitality industry until The Melrose Company chose him in 1991 to be on the front line of sales with the new Indigo Run community. David began his career with Indigo Run Real Estate Company. As Broker in Charge and the top salesperson from 1991 to 2007 he devoted himself to helping families find their dream home matching it with their desired lifestyle. During his 30 year island real estate career, he has also been a partner with Charter One Realty, founded Lighthouse Realty, and now enjoys working with Howard Hanna Allen Tate. He loves what he does, and his clients become trusted friends. David also owned and operated Hilton Head Home Improvement Co. His knowledge of remodeling and construction enhances his client service tenfold. For years, clients have appreciated his patient listening and the valuable input he offers.
